As a freelancer with experience working for web agencies, companies, startups, and individuals worldwide, I find creating things together to be one of the most enjoyable activities. I thrive in the company of like-minded people with the same strong focus and motivation. I’m curious about many fields and enjoy learning from and with others on a project.
My specialization is not categorical but situational, and I live by the Pareto principle, which allows me to deliver the best solutions by focusing on the most critical aspects of a project.
How I’m working
I have trained myself to spot bugs in user interfaces, user experiences, and technical aspects since I always aim to ensure that no bugs are pushed to production. I’m the kind of engineer who doesn’t assume everything is “just a little edit there” to fix problems, but I ask myself why the problem occurred and why we didn't think of it before. Then, I communicate with the user to understand their thinking and work collaboratively to define and solve the problem.
I prefer working in small teams where everyone required to get things done is present, with no long decision-making processes or complicated communication channels. I enjoy working on creative projects and/or product-oriented work, where I can make sustainable solutions that address real needs.
As someone who works well in a team on a shared goal, I’m therefore comfortable working alone with a defined objective. I think outside my domain/box and learn new things that matter to my outcome. My expertise includes sustainable solution finding, deadline-driven development, direct and clear communication, high-pressure fast decision-making, typography, and ensuring color contrast.
Learned Skills
Finally, I have skills in design, coding, and project management. I can create visually pleasing experiences for digital media, and enjoy exploring new technologies and rethinking old mechanisms. As a freelancer, I have learned to handle everything on my own, focusing on making choices that fit the project and ensuring the desired outcome.
